This week, in the spaces of our Innovation Center in Verona, we hosted a very special event as part of the Paper Week. The event was all about sustainability and how this is enforcing innovation efforts in the industry, and we were thrilled to have guests from various companies and organizations, part of Assocarta but not only. We witnessed the graduation of 13 students from a technology course for paper technicians of Istituto Salesiano San Zeno. The Secretary of Aticelca, the Italian Technical Association for Cellulose and Paper, shared the status of National and European Regulations on Paper Recyclability and the main impacts of both the new EU Directive on Green Claims, approved last March, and the new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation that will soon be approved too.
The best part? We had the opportunity to visit the several stations and laboratories of the Innovation Center, discovering all its functions and cutting-edge equipment. This space is ready to open its doors to startups, innovators, students, customers, and suppliers!
