After a long spell of time during the Napoleonic wars and independence, his great-grandson, Giuseppe Antonio Fedrigoni, establishes the first paper mill in Verona.

Gianfranco Fedrigoni, Giuseppe’s grandson, takes over the paper mill in Varone (Trento) and adds it to the existing factories in Verona.

Shortly before the end of the war, the Verona mill is completely destroyed during
a bombing raid. The family and some employees use their savings to finance reconstruction without receiving any funds from the state or through the Marshall Plan.

Imitlin is formed, an unrivalled collection of coloured and embossed papers for boxmaking and bookbinding.
