For a more sustainable supply chain,
more than ever before
We start with cellulose, a renewable, sustainable and natural raw material, from regulated plantations.
We add water, which we return clean and downstream from our paper mills.
We use as little energy as possible, from the cleanest sources possible.
We make part of our papers and other materials adhesive, choosing those that are most easily recyclable, and working with clients and suppliers to improve the sustainability of the entire supply chain.
This has been our job for many years, and we do it in collaboration with our people, making sure individual talents are nurtured, guaranteeing everyone can work in total safety and ensuring there is no discrimination of any form within the company. We ask the same of our suppliers, to respect human rights and biodiversity, even outside our professional relationships.

There is a time to do more
and that time is now
Climate change imposes a change of pace on all of us in our efforts to reduce our environmental impact and greenhouse gas emissions.
It means thinking about recycling whatever we can, reducing the thickness of our papers, and cutting down waste from our materials. It means knowing we have a tangible responsibility for ESG issues.
This is why over the last 10 years we have put an acceleration plan into place, and designed an ambitious programme for the next 10 years that will involve every area of our company, from product development to production and logistics, from procurement and finance to human resources.
Where we started: our materiality matrix
We studied the UN’s SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) carefully, choosing 12 out of 17 of the goals that were most meaningful for us, and signing the agreement in March 2021.
We planned our materiality matrix that guided us in understanding which areas were truly relevant for our group. Those highlighted are the improvement goals that we have chosen to pursue.

A commitment that started a long time ago
At Fedrigoni, sustainability has been an integral part of the way we work for many years, and not just a box-ticking exercise on our website or in our sustainability report.
A step forward, every day

Environment:
for the world around us
Starting from our top management, over the next 9 years we want to become leaders in our sector. This is why we have a clear yet challenging path ahead of us to reduce emissions, improve our waste management, return an increasingly large percentage of fresh water to the environment, choose our suppliers carefully and be able to provide our clients with an increasingly sustainable offer.

Social:
for the people around us
We are committed to becoming one of the best places to work, guaranteeing a safe environment for our 4,000 people, where people can grow, express their potential and have the opportunity to make a difference, in an open climate of collaboration and equal opportunities for men and women.

Governance:
for the ethics within us
Fedrigoni Group is aligned with the most modern governance standards, and its commitment to improving ESG issues comes directly from top management.
International reporting standards
We want to provide our clients with more sustainable, internationally-recognised products and production processes that are verified by independent third parties.
Since 1993 our group has complied with these international standards.
