Tageos opens New Innovation Center of Excellence in Munich
Tageos has officially opened its new Innovation Center of Excellence (ICoE) in Munich, Germany.
This state-of-the-art research and development facility aims to meet the increasing demand for innovation in RFID, NFC, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and wireless IoT technologies. The center enhances Tageos’ R&D capabilities and offers full support to customers worldwide in developing, prototyping, and industrializing connected products.
The new ICoE provides Engineering-as-a-Service (EaaS), with expertise in antenna design, integration of flexible batteries and sensors, and optimization of technical and production processes. Covering over 700 m², the center represents a multi-million Euro investment and a strategic step forward in the company’s global growth.
As part of the Fedrigoni Group, the Munich ICoE complements the existing Fedrigoni Innovation Center in Verona, forming a growing European hub focused on smart materials, smart labels, and digital transformation. This expansion supports key industries such as luxury, pharmaceuticals, wine & spirits, beauty, food, and FMCG, all of which are increasingly embracing smart packaging, traceability, and product authentication.
Marco Nespolo, CEO of Fedrigoni Group, commented:
“This new R&D center is a tangible expression of our shared vision: to invest in cutting-edge technologies and deliver sustainable innovation that creates real value for our customers.”
With this new site, Tageos reinforces its leadership in RFID and IoT innovation and continues to shape the future of connected, intelligent packaging.
