Meet Federico Fantoli

In the latest “Extraordinary Stories,” we meet Federico Fantoli, IT Transformation Manager who started his Fedrigoni journey in 2022 with enthusiasm for non-stop learning and his passion for reinventing the technological boundaries of our global IT future.  


Making IT Happen 

As Fedrigoni moves, changes fast and grows by acquiring new companies all over the world, our IT team faces the challenge of bringing different parts together. “We need to get the whole picture, from production, to logistics and sales. This understanding helps us come up with smart tech solutions that really help our business. Whether we’re implementing a new ERP system or seeing how tech can make our daily tasks easier, we’re all about making a real difference.”  

Federico adds, “It always fascinates me just how technology can revolutionize our daily tasks and how important is the human touch in the use of technology. It’s amazing to see the real value of these changes not only from data but in the way that people really appreciate how it makes a positive contribute on their jobs.”  

Team Power 

No one works alone at Fedrigoni – we all get involved, looking at things from different angles and bringing our own perspectives. Sharing ideas about all the things we do, from products to systems, is a must. Collaboration, trust and teamwork help us tackle and face new challenges leading us to think of new ideas in creative ways. Federico appreciated this during his work all over the world, with our colleagues in US, in Chile and in Spain. “Building strong relationships happens fast, and geographical and cultural differences really enrich both your professional and personal life.” 

 In one of his most recent experiences, Federico had the opportunity to be a coach in the NEXT Program “It went beyond my expectations, it was such a challenge to engage a team with different backgrounds and from different countries. Personal connections and teamwork were the baseline to achieve a common goal.” He highlighted the heterogeneity of the Next team, which included individuals from various teams such as Supply Chain, Finance, and HR, all working together on a project.  

Curious Minds 

At Fedrigoni, we’re always up for improving and trying new things. In meetings or starting fresh projects, there’s always something new to learn. When people are passionate about what they do, it makes them curious and enthusiastic to learn more. Our passion and curiosity keep things exciting.  

The NEXT Program showcased a great example on how crucial it is to go beyond the surface-level and dive deep into knowledge to provide meaningful contributions. Deep listening, curiosity and considering all questions, even those that seem trivial, can lead to important reflections. Federico advises to future Nexters is: “Do not settle for a superficial understanding of topics but delve into the details, as true ownership of content comes from a deep understanding”. He shared an example of team members who successfully mapped an intercompany flow, a topic completely unfamiliar to them, demonstrating the value of thorough understanding and the ability to hold discussions on complex subjects. 

 At Fedrigoni, we think big and aim high. We are all on a journey to transform our industry and it will take all of our passion and ambition to get there. But, most importantly, we can only do this when we work and succeed together and that’s when we really get to discover our Extraordinary Everyday.
