After a long spell of time during the Napoleonic wars and independence, his great-grandson, Giuseppe Antonio Fedrigoni, establishes the first paper mill in Verona.
Gianfranco Fedrigoni, Giuseppe’s grandson, takes over the paper mill in Varone (Trento) and adds it to the existing factories in Verona.
Shortly before the end of the war, the Verona mill is completely destroyed during
a bombing raid. The family and some employees use their savings to finance reconstruction without receiving any funds from the state or through the Marshall Plan.

Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives is born from the merger of Arconvert, Ritrama and Manter. Acquisition of Acucote for the expansion of adhesive products in North America. Strengthened presence in Mexico through the acquisition of Rimark. Entered into a joint venture with Tecnoform, holding a 70% stake in a Newco that produces solutions for thermoformed cellulose packaging.
A year of expansion, entering new markets via acquisitions: Divipa, Tageos, Unifol, Guarrocasas, and Zuber Rieder. In September, an industrial agreement with Mohawk Fine Papers Inc. In November, BC Partners joined forces with Bain Capital, entering the Group’s share capital.
Acquisition of the Research and Development Center in Grenoble, specialized in RFID testing, printed electronics prototyping, and advanced research on paper substrates.Industrial partnership with a translucent paper manufacturer in Quzhou, China. Both companies were previously part of the Arjowiggins Group.
