A new way of envisioning our products
Being designed for optimal end-of-life recycling and recovery (and LCA available on demand) is the seemingly simple but common feature of all products and key in facilitating the recovery and recycling of finished products.
We listed the ESG features of our paper products, such as using pulp from FSC CoC and CW certified forests, having a recycled content, containing by-products from other production processes, alternative fiber content (cotton, linen), Ecolabel certification and plastic-free packaging.
For our Self-Adhesives materials, the following ESG features were identified: FSC® certified products, recycled content, less thickness for equal performance, bio-based films and plastic (certified), PVC-free films, PFAS-free films and papers, the ability to remove them from products during the washing process, recyclability, and biodegradability.

Life Cycle Assessment
The Life Cycle Assessment measures the environmental footprint associated with a product throughout its life cycle. That is why we have developed an internal to calculate the environmental footprint of our products.
We have improved the capabilities of our LCA tool by integrating several primary data from suppliers, significantly enhancing the robustness and accuracy of our environmental assessments. During the same period, we also broadened the scope of our LCA coverage, expanding the product portfolio analyzed from approximately 150 to more than 300 items. This substantial increase ensures that reliable and comprehensive environmental data are readily available to our customers, supporting greater transparency and informed decision making
Special Papers: tradition meets the future
As part of its ESG strategy to 2030, Fedrigoni has set the target of 100% of recyclable products with a third-party recyclability certification. That is why we assessed all our portfolio according to the Aticelca 501/19 Recyclability framework.
Approximately 99% of our Special Paper Portfolio has already received third‑party recyclability certification. In parallel, we initiated the evaluation of selected solutions through independent laboratories to verify the compostability of products primarily intended for food applications. Fedrigoni makes sure that our products are manufactured in compliance with main international regulations related to dangerous substances (e.g., Regulation EC n. 1907/2006 REACH), and is committed to prevent and avoid the use of all hazardous substances from its processes and products. All these initiatives enable our products to be compliant with new legislation like PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) and the European Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition (ECGT) Directive.

Our Self-Adhesives Business Unit is committed to having 100% of our standard product portfolio available in recyclable, compostable or wash-off solutions by 2030, converging performance, aesthetics, sensory perception and optimal end-of-life.
In the Self-Adhesives sector, sustainability means focusing on the end-of-life of final products. It means working with stakeholders, creating an ecosystem that enables more and more end users to choose solutions that lower environmental footprint and promote transition to a circular economy. This progress is independently verified: we achieved multiple RecyClass Full Compatibility certifications and Aticelca testing confirmed several of our main adhesives don’t interfere with paper recycling. Our Research and Development Team continues to explore materials with recycled content and alternative elements to push this further.
