KEDV, the Foundation for the Support of Women’s Work, empowers Turkish women to overcome poverty and inequality, fostering an inclusive, resilient society. For decades, KEDV’s initiatives have supported tens of thousands of women and children across Turkey, creating lasting change and inspiring community transformation.
THE FOUNDATION’S PROJECTS
Every year, KEDV implements programs aimed at empowering low-income women by providing skills development, fostering cooperation, and offering economic support, particularly for those facing emergencies or migration challenges. By collaborating with local governments and cooperatives, KEDV supplies women with the necessary resources to break the cycle of poverty, thereby fostering transformative change that benefits entire communities.

Leadership and female empowerment to strengthen the community
Over six thousand cream-colored cotton pouches have been created by an Anatolian cooperative of women. Crafted with punch-needle embroidery and adorned with the Fedrigoni logo, each of these handmade goods tells a powerful story of resilience, symbolizing creativity and hope.
This collaboration has had a positive impact on 200 women by offering them crucial job opportunities, empowering them to create brighter futures for themselves, their
families, their communities.
Partnering with this cooperative strengthens our dedication to the community in the Kahramanmaraş region, which was the epicenter of the February 2023 earthquake. Last year, Fedrigoni acted swiftly to support Médecins Sans Frontières in their emergency relief efforts in the area.
