Who and why
The non-profit organisation we chose to support in 2023, “Il Fiore del deserto”, takes care of young people, in particular girls who have experienced violence, abuse, or who live in vulnerable situations. It provides a comprehensive approach to care, from residential care to semi-autonomous living.
Aim of the project
The goal is to help these young people imagine and strive for a new future, gradually reintegrating into society, both socially and professionally, so they can reclaim their dignity and recognise their immense value.
Because flowers can grow anywhere, even in a desert.

The bar of soap you have received, with all its imperfections, was hand-made for us by the young women from Il fiore del deserto.
Over 5000 bars of soap were produced, one for each Fedrigoni employee.
A bar of soap is used to clean something that was dirty.
These young women worked hard to produce these bars of soap. Making a bar of soap requires time, attention and consistency. It has given them a goal and a commitment to uphold.
Inside that box, made with our materials, are the names and surnames of the girls who have fought, and are still fighting, to have a different future than the one forced upon them.
The bar of soap inside the box may not be perfect but that’s how we like it. The path may be difficult but a way out is always possible.
Think about it the next time you wash your hands.
